Winchester model 12 20 gauge pump

My mothers husband who is 84 years old has a Winchester model 12 20 gauge pump gun that belonged to his father.He wants to sell it but I have no idea what to tell him to ask for it. Serial # 780754 full choke 2 3/4 chamber, I believe 28 inch barrel and patent dates 1896,1898,1910,1913. I would describe it as no better than good condition, fully functional,action is tight, zero pitting,never refinished, bluing faded, especially on the receiver,some scratches on the stock.

    A 20 ga. is more desirable, and a decent field grade with no rib in fair shape is worth $650ish +/- IMO.

    Sorry to be ignorant,I'm an old car nut. What is a rib and how do you know if it is a field grade? The stock is smooth with no checkering, not a pistol grip and the forearm slide is round with circular grooves around it.
