Remington model 14 sights/butt plate
Can anyone tell me if there is a correlation between these two items? It seems as if all the Model 14's for sale have either a bakelite (or sometimes metal) butt plate and then a thumbwheel rear sight that seems to be unique to that model, or a metal crescent butt plate along with a "regular rear sight (common elevator type)". Is that how they came from the factory? I guess what I'd really like is to find one with a crescent butt plate AND a thumbwheel rear sight, but only if that's how they came from the facory. Thanks.

Thanks. I may be asking the wrong questions, but don't seem to get much satisfaction there. 0
