    Challengers stopped using the U serial prefix when production ended at FN in Belgium in 1975 [V]. When Browning started making the pistol in the USA [:(] they used the 655 prefix and a two letter date code so your 655RR serial number would indicate a pistol produced in 1977.

    1977, would make it a steel frame Challenger II. They were made up until approximately 1983, when the Challenger III went into production.

    It is in good condition with little wear/scratch marks.

    Sight unseen, in NRA Good Condition, $150-$250. IMHO.
