Need a used butt stock for a Beretta S55

A couple years ago I bought a used Beretta S55 12ga O/U from Cabelas. I looked up the serial number and it was made in 1956 which I believe was the first production year for this model. I also believe that the S55 is the precursor to the Silver Snipe.

Then a "friend" of mine dropped it butt down on cement and cracked the stock in two places. I want to sell the gun but am debating on whether or not to glue the cracks together, buy a used stock for it or sell it as is. A different friend started to try to repair it and stopped half way with glue hanging out the crack so it is pretty unsightly at this point. It would need to be sanded and stained I think to look decent.

Where can I find a used stock CHEAP for this gun? It doesn't make sense to spend very much as I just want to sell it and I won't get much for it either way. It is mechanically sound but has considerable cosmetic issues - worn bluing, etc. Will any Silver Snipe stock fit it?

    look here and at other auction sites I thing all but the very High end Beretta O/U stocks of the same Ga. will fit but I dont think if you buy a stock it will increase the selling price as much as the cost of replacement stock and shipping . If there is blue wear. Sounds like a project Gun. sell as is.These are the types of guns some of us LIKE to buy if you sell on Gunbroker come back and post auction item number. on

    Good advice Perry. I will never get my investment back if I buy even a used stock. I will just sell it as is as a project gun.
