TT33 Frame Country of Origin I.D.

I have a Tokarev TT33 frame with trigger block safety and S/N PA145XX.
There are no other frame markings.

    Not sure if this helps but my Polish TT33 has an added trigger block safety, which I know was done on importation to make them compliant. There were a ton of those sent into the country about a decade back.
    EDIT#1: Hey V35...want me to send pics of my arsenal 11 1954? The SN# is AR03000 and I am wondering if perhaps you could compare the stike types on the roll mark to see if they came from the same set of dies? Mine also has the small, short (and frankly unusable!) added safety between the slide release and the trigger guard.

    A bare frame with safety was sold to me as a Polish Tokarev but the safety doesn't match Polish TT safeties of mine.
    The safety is fatter as on recent East European imports.
    Interestingly all Chinese 213 parts,including slide and barrel, fit nicely without alteration and it shoots very well.
    The 213 slide port and ejector nub were adjusted to shoot 7.62x25.

    The safeties on most recent Eastern Bloc imports were added to the gun after they were imported into the US. The Romanian Inter Ordnance TT-33's took 6 months to install the safeties, & then they had to be recalled because of a problem with the safeties.

    I wouldn't worry about the safety "matching"; just be satisfied it works.

    I have seven TT33's, Poles and 213 Chinese and had to do work on most safties to have them function properly.
    The safety on the parts gun one was no exception.
    Unpopular as it may be on GB, I like safeties on TT's after they've been made to work positively and smoothly.
    It's the identity I'm interested in as I suspect the parts gun frame is Romanian or Bulgarian.
