mackcrane......gots lots of info...what do you want to know? In a nutshell, the Egyptians turned to the Swedes in the 1950's to help them with arming the Egyptian military. The Swedes set up production facilities for a variety of different weapons all from Swedish designs, including the AG42, the Swede squad semiauto rifle in 6.5mm. The Eqyptians did not care much for that round so the rifle was worked up to 7.92x57 (8mm). It is a good rifle although a bit heavy. It has a gas adjustment which is a nice feature. The Eqyptians ditched it when they hitched their future to Soviet weapons in the 1960's and the Hakim was sold on the surplus market. Hope this helps[^]

No offense, but your question is similar to asking how deep is the ocean. Your best bet IMHO is to GOOGLE, "hakim rifle", and start reading and following the links. After a hour of this you will be a expert on the Hakim.
