Martini Carbine

I know little to nothing about these Martini rifles , and now I have two of them here. What I have found is that this one is a carbine. It has been converted to .303 Cal. It is stamped so. That it may be a civilian rifle. The only stamps that I can see are in the third photo. The chamber is excellent the bore is very good with strong rifling. It appears the metal has 80% of the blued finish. What is it , and what it may be worth , would be great to know? Thank for your time and effort.

  Get hold of a copy of "Rifles of the World" by Walter. There is a section on the various .303 Martini conversations. They were known as Martini-Medfords and Martini-Enfields. They date from the late 1880's to the mid 1890's, with many variations.

  i have one identical , guy i bought it from called it an artillery carbine
