I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO I COULD GET ON THIS LYMAN 5A SCOPE ( SER# 1566 )I IS 1 3/4''DIA.AT THE FRONT --WHEN WAS IT MADE ? IS IT MILITARY ? IT IS MOUNTED ON A REMINGTON MODEL 37 AT THIS TIME WITH UNIRTL MOUNTS OLD-ARMS

I am pretty sure a 5A is a straight tube scope.
I think this one has had a large objective bell installed aftermarket to increase the power and brightness. Any trademark?0 -
I have several Winchester A5 scopes (predecessor to the Lyman 5A) and they are straight tube....
