Awhile back I asked for some help on what to buy a 454 BFR or a S&W 500, thanks to all for the feedback, unfortunately the responses didn't help me decide, too many good arguements for both --- So now I sit here with both in my safe, and still don't know which is more fun, thanks.

Tommorrow I drop the wife at the airport and go to the next gun show, time to tackle the AK vs AR dilemma - sure am glad she's gone for 2 weeks, I'll miss her but maybe I can sneak both into the safe and then swear they were always there!

    The original thread is locked, but I want to thank all of you that helped identify my old gun. Even though it's not worth much, it remains a valued family artifact.

    ballpark on the S&W model 15, without photos would be around $300-$400 dollars, depending on condition, original box, grips etc etc.

    If the mossberg is a bolt action it's worth about $ 200. If it has U.S. Property stamped on it, or if it's a target model with a peep sight, it'll be worth more like $ 350-400. Also the condition of the stock and metal, and clip fed or tubular affects value.
