New Barrels for Stoeger Coachgun
Folks,
I have a Stoeger 20ga. Coachgun, it is a great turkey gun, but I am in need of a longer barreled shotgun for upland hunting and trap and in an economy that everyone except the politicians knows sucks I can't afford a whole new gun. Does anyone know of a company that makes or can fit a longer set of barrels for a Stoeger coachgun? Or does someone out there have a set of upland barrels that will fit a Stoeger.

You're looking at a big money job on a small money gun.
Buy another shotgun, it's habit forming and fun.0 -
While you might find another set of barrels at one of the used gun part sellers, there's always the possibility that they wouldn't fit properly. A set of custom barrels would cost much more than another entire shotgun. The other consideration is that trap is normally a 12 gauge game. If the short barrels are working for turkey, there's no reason you need longer barrels for "upland hunting". In fact. I'm surprised the coach gun is doing the job as a turkey gun since most of them have pretty open choking. My quail/pheasant gun is a 12 SxS with 24" IC & Mod choked barrels. My advice is to look for an inexpensive 12 pump with screw in chokes. 0
