All things considered, no, K think you are in the right area for a wall hanger.

Really just pointing out the fact that most people will not have access to BP loads and as such, it makes a great wall hanger. If one has the resources and expertise, then by all means fire it up. As a seller, he would be best represented by calling it a wall hanger and ask for gunsmith check befor firing; makes things a little less ticklish in the liability area.

    Interesting shotgun.

You could improve your chances of generating interest with a more detailed description of the gun and clearer, more close-up photographs.

Also, it does not appear to be, but I cannot tell for sure...can you tell us if the gun has damascus barrels?

The Belgium shotgun was probably bought at a local hardware store and is still in tight excellent working condition

Based on the auction description, I would take it that this gun is safe to shoot with BP loads. Just curious, why would it be labeled a "wallhanger" if it is in excellent working condition. Are the proper loads not available anymore. Not being a wise guy. I was considering bidding on it as a shooter.

hard to say. Ive watched a lot of auction shows over the years and older shotguns arent always worth what people think. I would try to find the brand and do some research. Might only be worth a couple hundred

the box appears to be well consreucted with box joint or dovetail corners and original hardware. By it selt it would be worth at least $80-100, maybe more.IMHO
