White Lettering ???

Anybody have any idea what/how the white lettering on the side of an S&W AR-15 receiver is ??? and what or how applied ???

    No idea how they do it.

    I do it with a white china marker, available from any art supply store.

    I have done this process to the backs of many of my Glock mags so the numbers are easy to read. I use a tiny jar of toy model paint. Fill in the lettering with a small drop of paint using a toothpick. Let it sit for a minute, then using an old t-shirt soaked with solvent on your finger, wipe off the excess paint leaving the paint in the lettering to dry.

    I've used crayons to fill in letterings so I could read it better. When applied to parts that heat up it'll melt.

    Now the paint and toothpick lettering I suppose you could go to a feed store and pick up a needle and syringe. Fill the syringe and shoot it through the needle. Runnier the paint the smaller gauge the needle. I'd get a few. Also you can have a rainbow of a color. I suppose you can get gold from craft stores to bling out the gun. What do they call it gild.

    +2 on good old white crayola. Scribble it on and wipe the excess off.

    Tried it on a Glock 17 of mine. Worked just fine even on the barrel. No melting problems at all.

    We need / want to have some way of putting lettering where there is NONE , Not filling in present letters !!!

    Check with a Trophy shop.. There's a method using a laser to apply printing/ graphics to objects.. A high strength plastic resin ( in the color of choice ) is fused to the metal.. Solvent resistant.. Really cool.. My local shop is limited by the size of the cabinet used to hold the object, but even with their smaller machine, they could easily do a lower..

    They use a graphic program on the computer to layout the design, then the laser does the rest..
