DOM for a remington 81 woodsmaster

would like to know when my remington 81 woodsmaster was made. serial number is 869. its in .32 remington cal. if that helps. thanks alot.

  there is a 'date code' on the left side of the barrel (jacket), see the 'sticky' at the start of ate. probably 1936

  D stands for September. E stands for 1936. Your model 81 was made in September 1936. AS Mike Whiskey said, the sticky at the top of the posts in this forum gives a link that takes to the Remington date code chart.
