S&W serial number question

hello, i have a S&W model 25-2 in 45 acp and need to know when it was made. serial number is N67 2550. any help would be great. thanks

  According to Standard Catalog of S & W number N672550 was made in 1980.

  thanks, only thing is that the blue book says that early manufacturerd guns have the pinned barrel which this one has? they stopped making them in '85, so if 1980 is considered early, then that would be correct. thanks again

  The Blue Book does not give enough detail. According SCSW, the Model now known as the 25 went into production in 1955. They started stamping the model number on them in 1957. They deleted the pinned barrel in 1982. By "earlier model" the Blue Book meant earlier than 1982, not early in the production of the model 25.
