REM 7 vs 673

Is there any difference in strenght (working pressure), between the mod 7, and the mod 673. I'm thinking of a rebarrel to .44, .45 cal of some kind. Just curious. THX HAWKSHAW

  Nope, not to my recollection. They are both renditions of the 700, and have the same strength of the parent action. However, the model 7 is supposed to be a lightened version of the 700 short action.

  Something to keep in mind.... The sammi pressure for the lil' old 22/250 is 65,000. Much higher than most bigger bore cartridges.

  The Model 673 is the Model 7 with a different imprint. Remington tried the same deception when it released the 'new' XP100 as the XR-100 but without the single shot receiver. It was the Model 7 again.
  
  So, no, is the answer to your question. They are the same.
