Targeteer rifle side screw

Inhereted a H&R targeteer as part of a family gun collection. The gun is in fair to good shape and may try it out soon as I hear they were usually very accurate. This one has a decent Weaver scope mounted to a bracket that attaches to the left side of the barrel with 2 screws. The one in rear looks original to the gun. The one in the front was obviously scrounged together at some point since it looks to be a standard hex headed bolt. From pictures I have seen of other Targeteers there looks to be a large round headed fastener that fits in that front location. Any idea where to acquire a replacement that matches the original part? Anyone have experience with shooitng one of these?

    Sounds like a Weaver "T" mount. Is the original-looking screw knurled (checkered) on the edge, and slotted for something wide, like a coin? Does it have an "F" or"R" stamped on it?

    There are two screws that attach the scope mount to the barrel. I know the one in the front is a common hardware bolt with hex head and is obviosly a patched together fix. From pictures of Targeteer rifles I have seen that front screw is rather large and does have a rounded knurled head as evidenced by the large indent in the stock that allows for a screw that large to fit. No idea about the correct rear screw. If I knew how to include pictures I could post one so you could see what we are dealing with. I have found a parts listing on Numrich for this model rifle but unfortunately the descriptons don't come with pictures nor do I have access to a schematic. Looks like lots of available parts I just don't know exactly what I need. If it were simple to denote the right parts for the front and rear screws I would order them just to bring the gun back to original.

    The bolt will slide completely out sometimes when cycling without having to press a release. One of the parts on Numrich for the 265 model describes it as a "bolt stop screw" which I would assume is missing here. I just wish I knew what to order to get this thing proper. Thanks for your assistance.
