Too many duds on Kimber of Oregon 84?

    1. Have you tried the ammo that did not fire in a different gun?
    2. Have you had the same problem with a different brand of ammo?
    3. Clean gun
    4. Have you had this problem before? Have gunsmith check travel of firing pin.
    5. Are you using .223 or 5.56 ammo? Rifles chambered in .223 and not listed for 5.56 may have issues.

    Usually is an ammo problem.

    Thanks Floyd,
    I tried 2 seperate types ammo PMC and wolf.
    It may be that neither were pricey loads. Both had dud rounds.

    Most european ammo for 223 Has very hard primers to keep from SLAM firing in military type weapons the kimber is striker fired and the spring may be too weak for this type of ammo.Buy some US MADE HUNTING AMMO AND I BET PROBLEM WILL go - away

    If you're sure the bolt is going fully into battery, order a heavier hammer spring. If yours' is lighter than standard try a standard one first.
    You don't need a marginal spring that works only on soft primers.
