Remington Rolling Block
I have acquired an Old Remington Rolling block action from an estate sale. I have two questions: what is something like this worth ( not that great of condition, but can be worked on by a gunsmith ), and since it has a serial# am I able to ship to someones home address or does it need to be shipped to a FFL dealer?

Hello again folks.Can anyone help me out on a Remington Rolling Block rifle value. I saw one for sale in very nice shape but just dont know what to pay.Any ballpark figures would help. All I know is it has the saddle ring if that means anything. Appreciate any help. Richee 0 -

Maybe, I don't know. It's been awhile since I handled one, and hard to judge from the pic with breech open. Try a .22 round in the chamber.0 -
Serial number should be stamped under Model 4 on the left side of the receiver.
That number should correspond to the number stamped under the barrel in front of the forend.0 -

v35, I think only the very latest production like this one on the auction side were marked Model 4:

Thats a #4 had one over 40 years ago.They are short and long only in 22.I had a shell rim split and leak fire in my eyes.My uncle traded me a Marlin boys rifle for it.He knew a collector who wouldnt be firing it.My # 4 was in very good condition.The cartridge case was at fault but I would not fire a# 4 again.I have scars on the whites of my eyes.The 22 is a high pressure cartridge beware.

Looks like my Rem. #4 (take-down) model in .22 cal. ???
How is the bore ???
I have shot mine , but the bore is very poor at best , so now its just in the safe !
May be a reline project some day ???
