German Mauser Octagon Barrel
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about an old German mauser. The barrel is an ocatagon barrel. There are no sights on it. The back sight area has a dovetail area but it looks as if it was filled or plugged at the factory. There is a sling swivel attachement on the underside of the barrel. This all appears to be factory quality. The stock has a checkered snabled forend. There is german writing on the receiver. In english it is stamped "Berlin". Any assistance or direction would be great. Thanks.
