apraisal value
I am still working on getting a camera so I cant provide any pictures. I am looking to have my M1911A1 apraised. The weapon has zero scrapes and scratches, and was lightly fired, and comes with original parts and the finish looks excellant. It also says United states property. What would the apraisal value be under what I described? Also where would I could I take it for a better apraisal without going to prison lol. Thanks for the help.

How about the on-line appraisal service advertised on the home page of gunbroker.com?

The US government sold Thousand and Thousands of these guns as Surplus. The military pistols are very collectible IFthey have all the original parts and all the original finish . The value Drops off by big chunks if replaced parts , refinished at military arsenal . But value can drop by 75% if Bubba got to it refinished at home in Kitchen and added a bunch of non military parts. The best way to get an appraisal is hands on . the second best is a LOT of in focus well lit close up pictures from all angles and with the slide off . what you are asking us to do is sort of like getting you to appraise my Good condition 3 bedroom house. Do a smart search and look at all the different 1911 and 1911A1 military guns for sale pick one that looks just like yours. Thats the best we can do with out the pictures. $400.00 - $4000 is a good starting point but some are worth less then that and some like a North American arms are worth 10 times more. 0
