Belgian Revolver Proof
Any ideas what that W with 4 squares (?) on top of it means?
Note: I know what 1893 ELG black powder proof mark means.
Thank you very much.

Generally it would be a star over the letter, rather then a square. The letter represents the Belgian inspector who was responsible for the proof testing. As their is a crown above the oval "ELG" marking. The proof was done in the smokeless powder era, with a load of 30/50% over standard. 0
