1911a1 ithaca slide ( WW II )

Did they number there slides to match gun serial number( WW II ) time frame ? Took fire pin out an not numbered. Wondered if correct. Would post picture but not sure on how to do. Know certain time (SER-# ) were matched to frame like colt 1911a1 . thanks Mike

  No, only (some) Colts had a numbered slide.

  I have never seen any other Military contract 1911 / 1911A1 except Colt have a serial number under the firing pin stop .
