Military Holster?

My dad had this holster in a box of his stuff. It has no markings of any kind. No belt loop, just a model 1910 belt hook. Appears to have held a revolver of some kind. I don't recognize it as military. Any ideas? Thanks

  looks like a modified holster for the Victory model S&W.

  I wish a had victory model to check it. I know it's too small for my model 1917 45 revolver.

  Wouldn't a S&W K-frame .38 Model 10 or Model 12 (same gun, alloy frame) fit in lieu of the actual Victory Model?

  The top of the flap appears to have been cut after it left the factory. The piece that was cut out might have had the manufacturers markings, if it's a original military holster.
