Identifying a Eotech help

The fact that it has no protective hood indicates it's either an early Eotech or one of their old Bushnell holographic sights.

For what it's worth, Eotech started up sometime in the mid-90's. I believe their earliest models only had an ON/OFF switch.

What type of batteries does this one take?

Since you have the device in hand, please refer to the link below. It will give you a 'heads up' on spotting Eotech features. The file is not a direct access..you will have to load it into a folder in your computer. Best, Joe

The manufacturer's warning is only for the L-3 series, which you do not have. There are no reports of counterfeits of EOTech models other than the L-3's.

Any help identifying this will be greatly appreciated, Thank You.

    Thanks for providing good pictures.

Since the images you display show both the serial number and the date of manufacture, EOTECH itself could probably tell you the exact model with a phone call. It might even be able to tell you who it shipped the sight out to originally.

In 1999 Eotech came out with its first military/commercial aimed holographic weapons sight, which it designated as model "HWS" (big surprise there). This was before the company had 50 gazillion variants of same, and my guess is that is probably what you have.

No idea what this thing would be worth, to answer the question you didn't ask.

It was on a old bow that I bought at a estate sale it has like a yardage drop indicator at the side of the ring and dot , I don't believe it is a conterfeit. Really don't know what a value would be since I can't find any info. But thanks Beantownshootah I will call them or write to them.
