converting a marlin 336 from forearm band to cap
I am currently undertaking a restock project of a Marlin 336, 30wcf. The forearm is set up with a standard barrel band. What would it take to convert this set up to a forearm (forend if you like) cap? I note the magazine tube is notched for the band screw. Am wondering if anyone out there makes a kit that could make this work without dovetailing the underside of the barrel for a tennon. Please advise.

well, besides the forend cap you'll need the 'hanger', 2 screws, and a forend. then you'll need to cut a dovetail in the barrel for the 'hanger' and notch the mag. tube. 0
