Coach guns

I was looking at coach guns from Baikal and Stoeger. Anyone have suggestions or warnings as far as quality and reliability? Jed

A friend of mine has a Stoeger & has had problems with not fireing the RH barrel. He has a Stoeger Uplander sxs with the same problem. I've got a CZ Durango & not had a bit of problems with it. No experience with the Baikal coach gun.

I've put three boxes of shells through my 12ga Baikal Bounty Hunter without any issues. I would recommend you find a single trigger version. The recoil pushes the back of the trigger guard into my long finger even when shot from the shoulder.

No experience with the Stoeger other than picking one up at a gunshow today (short barrelled SxS, 12 ga, fixed chokes, single trigger, with a picitinny rail on the top and one underneath behind the muzzle, black stock). http://www.stoegerindustries.com/firearms/stoeger_double_defense.php

I used a Stoeger 12 gauge coach gun for close to 10 years in my Cowboy Action Shooting. Neve had a problem. Still have it.

i've had a stoeger silverado for 5 yrs. no problems with it.
