7mm Remington Rolling Block
I have rifle here . Marked 7mm SM Rolling Block . It has been stored away for over 30yrs . Mechanically it appears to be sound and the bore is excellent no pitting or rust . The stock is very good except for some carved initials. I believe the cleaning rod is original and is threaded into the stock. I have seen this rifle priced all over the place and need a reasonable value. Any help is well appreciated.

Put it up for sale with no reserve on the auction side and you'll find out exactly what it's worth. 0 -
If their are patent dates visible on the tang behind the hammer it will give a indication of which model RB, you have. The latter manufactured ones dating to the late 19th, early 20th Centuries were known as Model 5's and were made of steel, rather then wrought iron as the early BP models. Also the very last variation with the 1902 patent date had a automatic ejector. If you have one of these late production, smokeless, steel receiver, models factory original, with excellent bore. IMHO you looking at between $400 & $600 from a military rifle collector. 0
