SKS Optic Options

I have a Chinese SKS that has a piece of flat metal bar on the left side of the receiver BELOW the action cover.

I was told when I bought it that it was a scope mount.

If so, where can I find a scope(red dot is my preference) mount for it?

  I got a top receiver cover drilled and tapped with a weaver rail.

  I've seen those but that cover isn't exactly immovable.

  Im sure its not ideal but mine is fairly tight and I put a cheap Baraska optic on it anyway. Off my bipod I can shoot about softball sized groups at a hundred yards while firing about a round a second.
  Which is about all I would expect from it anyway.
