Miroku Winchester 1895 in 270
After some exhaustive research on how many of these were made from 1997-1999, I finally talked to an old Winchester guru at Browning. He said around 5,000 were produced. The 270 sold poorly because it was not an original caliber. Of these 5,000, a number of them were sent back to Miroku to be retrofitted to 405 Winchester. Others got custom rechambered to 35 Whelen, etc. Looked on Gunbroker today, and there were 11 Mirokus for sale in 405, 15 in 30-40, 21 in 30-06 and only 4 in 270. My Grade 1 in 270 is the finest fit and finish, sweetest shooting rifle I've ever owned. Gonna hang onto mine, and won't change a thing! Just a little food for thought if you ever get a chance to snap one up - they're fairly rare.

What is your question for the forum?? 0 -
I posed this question about a month ago in the forum, and no one could answer it. I found the best answer I could on my own. The exact numbers are probably lost for good, as Winchester is no more. Just some info here for those who are interested. 0 -
Here is Sgtrock's original post.
