I.D. Rolling Block Rifle

It has 3 Brass barrel bands,the barrel is 35" long with a cleaning rod. It has a mount on the front right side of the barrel for a bayonet.On the left side of the receiver it is stamped M-1867. On the top of the tang it is stamped KJOBENHAVNS TOIHUUS.1875. The two o,s have lines through them. There are some Crowns on it. No other markings. I think it is a Danish Remington Rolling Block in 11.4X51R

  very possible, pix would help, could also be a .50 cal. slug the bore to be sure.

  danish rolling block in 45 danish made in rimfire and also converted later to a center fire

  I had one years ago. Although chambered for the Danish military cartridge they were close enough to the U.S. 45-70, that they were rechambered for it. I fired it many time with my 45-70 black powder equivalent reloads with no problems. Don't push your luck though these old RB actions were made of wrought iron rather then steel and would be dangerous with modern high pressure smokeless loads.
