Anyone know where to find 9.3x57 ammo?

    There seems to be better and much more powerfull ammo today, whe shooting from pistols I notice that almost every brand seems to have a different color when fired? I tried about five different types of 22 mag in my revolver and some were blue-white others were an orange was it the short barrell or what? even some of the same brands were of a different color? as in the Winchester, the Dynapoint and Super X seemed completely different, then in the 38 the Silvertip ammo was a blue white color? on some ballastic tests through some wet phone books there was a big difference in results?????????? Billy

    Winchester sells it handgun ammunition in a white box at Walmart.

    Usually 9mm, 38spl, 40sw, & 45acp.

    Usually pretty good prices and 100rd packs.


    Edit:
    I prefer Winchester white box for plinking ammo. Usually it's the least expensive bulk brass cased factory hand gun ammo around.

    For 9mm it's the way to go. Five 100rd boxes from Walmart is usually cheaper than trying to find 500rds of brass cased ammo shipped.

    45 acp Winchester is usually usually a good deal too.

    I don't shoot steel cased ammo through my pistols.

    Winchester puts its lower end (ie non-premium) ammo in a plain white box, so its informally known as "white box" to gun buffs.

    Lots of this stuff gets sold inexpensively at the "big box" dept and sporting goods stores (eg Walmart, etc).

    As to the brass, my understanding is that the origin of production of the "white box" actually varies depending on the caliber and when it was made.

    Some "white box" is made in the USA, some is made in the Czech Republic by S&B, and some (.223 in particular) may be made in Israel. I can't speak to current production of any of these, but I know that in the past few years, at least, this has been true.

    So while American made "white box" likely is assembled with the same brass as the other premium Winchester rounds, some of it may not be.

    If the subtext of your question is whether or not the "white box" brass is reloadable, I think all of it is.
