State quarters!?
I have a bunch of them, also susan B anthony Dollar coins and dollar coins with Sacajawea on them.
They are not worth more then face value. Should I use them to buy silver? What would you do?

Wrong Forum! This belongs on General Discussion. 0 -
I'm asking for advice not for a discussion. Seems to be the right place so far as this forum goes. 0 -
I would use them for that purpose. The State quarters, Susan B Anthonies and Sacajeweas are of little value beyond face value. Their neumismatic (sp?) value is low as so many millions were made and the silver content is merely electroplate. I am currently (and have been for some time) buying junk silver and would not hesitate to jump on that stuff using current specie. Check your spot prices and take care...silver and gold are currently volatile with the situation in the middle east and resultant oil prices, which greatly affect builion prices. I agree however that this would be better served in the General discussiuon forum. 0 -
But there are no experts in that forum [:D] 0 -

I agree with nambu. They should have more than face value for their copper content...or darn close to it. 0 -
You could send 1 quarter each from Wyoming, Utah, Oklahoma, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii to the forum moderator who is allowing this thread to stay in ATE...And then just use the rest of the cache to buy ammunition [;)]. 0 -

Don't know about those particular coins....but I traded 20 1921 Morgans for a mint Ruger Mini-14 last week...sure I could have kept the silver and made more later...but now I have a new gun and get to buy tons of lead [:D] 0
