Remington high Velocity Golden bullet

I have bricks of the Remington high velocity golden bullet ammo. My question is do you recommend using these in todays .22 semi auto pistols? such as the GSG 1911, Sig mosquito, Walther P22, or even my S&W 22A? I know the rule of thumb is use the CCI mini mags and all is well. I have 10,000 round of the remington high velocity golden bullit ammmo and am curious what the experts think, thanks as always.

    I shoot allot of the .22 promotional stuff from wallyworld. The Remington .22 Gold Bullet stuff is the worst of the bunch. Sell it off and buy the Winchester 333 or 555 in the bulk packages. That's the kind of the cheap bulk packed ammo I have been shooting almost exclusively for the last year. It functions much better then either the Remington or Federal bulk packed cheap ammo. The only one of the pistols you mentioned that I've had extensive experience with is the 22A, the Winchester 555's work fine in it.

    +1 for what Rufe Snow said...the Winchester 333 and 555 is WAY better than the Remington Golden. The Winchester 555 is a great value and has very good quality control. With the Remington I had alot of miss fires and very poor accuracy overall. I still have about 500 rounds of the Remington, but I reserve it for the kids to use when they shoot pumpkins after each Halloween!

    Apart from the occasional dud, I've never had an issue with the Federal high velocity copper wash 36 grain bulk .22s in either of my two 22As.

    I have to agree with the others that the Remington bulk pack is really the worst of the "milk carton" ammo, both in terms of misfire rate, as well as poor accuracy. My friends SIG would constantly choke on this, but ran just fine on the Federal.

    Ultimately, I think what you're going to find is that different individual guns like different kinds of ammo.

    My experience has been that most .22s will FEED the standard all lead 40 grain target ammo just fine, though some of it won't have enough "oomph" to cycle certain guns.

    In terms of specific brands, I've had good results with CCI mini mags, but even just the CCI target seems to work fine. The Federal bulk pack "automatch" has run OK in every gun I've tried it in so far.
