ranger .22 s-l-lr
I have ranger .22 single shot rifle I am looking to get some info on. All it is marked with is "Ranger .22 S-L-LR" any clues to look for?

There should be a model number on it somewhere I would think. Without pictures it will be impossible to tell you anymore about it. Sears Rangers were made by several different mfgs and without pictures or model # not much can be found out about them. 0 -
I did look closer and it is a M34 which, by what I have found on a cross reference guide is a Marlin 100. I'll try to get some pictures up, but does the M34 narrow down a date range?

If it doesn't have a serial number, it was made prior to 1968. That was when the "Gun Control Act of 1968", federal law kicked in requiring all firearms to be serial numbered.0 -
sears rangers are from about the 1930's i have sold a couple of them 0 -
From what I have found, it was made between 1935 and 1937. Thanks for the help. 0
