I use a brass rod that I purchased for my .177 pellet guns. I think it is marketed by Beeman.

I use a tipton and never broke that. How did you break a carbon rod????

Use a Dewey or Tipton, you won't be able to break one of those.

I'm sorry to hear that a carbon fiber rod broke. What did the manufacturer say?

I have a .17 cal. Dewey rod that I use every day and have been for the last 15 years. It's still going strong.

    Best.

Got to love the Dewey in combo with a chamber / bore guide.

    Thanks I'll try a dewey
It was a used rod I picked up at a local gunshop. It snapped clean right at the handle. It may have been damaged previously and I just got had. It was an impulse buy... I'm only out 8 bucks on it.

Dewey or Boretech are the only way to go.
