Krico (Tradewinds) Husky H-5000 30-06. Value?
My deer hunting rifle and paid $550 in mid '90s, with an extra clip in a case with a 6x18 not perfect but works Simmons scope. Has always shot sub 1/2" groups at 100 yards. Is not perfect but very nice condition. Cut checkered not press checkered, very light, with an incredibly smooth Sako - like action.

Your rifle is a very rare breed, it is a great shooter that looks nice and doesn't cost much money. Of everything that your rifle is, the one thing that is is not is monetarily valuable. You rifle is worth what you paid for it, maybe a bit less in this economy. The blue book and Standard's both state that your rifle in Excellent condition is worth $350, but those numbers have not been updated for several years as there is no collector interest in a H-5000 at this time. The Simmons scope will bring no additional value to the package. 0 -
Nice rifles,,might call 500 on this one..but most people don't know Huskies. 0 -
Thank you for the reply!
You and others who have seen its nicer than most peoples hunting rifles very good condition in person nice wood including beautiful cut checkering and smooth action have advised also in the $500 or so range without the extra clip or scope (all the value is in the rifle alone).
Should I separate the extra clip from the rifle? Have seen multiple people wanting the extra clip in 30-06 online as is a very nice thing to have with the rifle. Maybe more demand for an extra clip around than for the rifle which could translate to higher price with multiple buyers. Bet could get some money for the extra clip by itself if separate. What should we ask for the extra clip alone if decide to sell?0 -
There might be a little confusion in the use of the name "Husky", in referring to this rifle. Most gun folks who use the "Husky" name, are referring to hunting rifles made by Husqvarna in Sweden. Why Tradwinds used this name for rifles made by Krico in Germany is quite strange, as they were the U.S. importer of Swedish Husqvarna hunting rifles prior to importing these rifles. 0
