Wax
I was getting ready to start reloading some 38 special and found some wax or as they call it lubracant inside the cases. I tried to clean it out with a brush and a small amount of it would not come out and stuck to the side of the brass. I tried some Simply Green and it turned to a liquid and I could see it in the base of the brass around the primer hole. I left it set over night and nothing changed when I tried to dust some powder in the case it stuck to the brass. what do I need to soak the brass in to get ride of the substance.

don't worry about it unless your going let the ammo sit for a long time. Load it up and shoot it, it'll be clean when your done.[;)] 0 -
Emmet, How did wax get in your pistol cases?
I think you could remove it by popping a live primer in said cases (how many are we talking about). Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.
Maybe running them through a vib tumbler cycle again. It's early and my brain aint on yet0 -
Out of a bag of one hundred there is about half that what I would think is lube not wax. I don't know how many of the other cases have it in them I have quite a few bags that I have not opened.
