field use no more than 4 power , perferr 1.5 or 2 myself , if going to be use off of a bench then maybe a variable 2x7 ,
i have used leupold ,burris and weaver all are good scopes , kind of comes down to what you like
also IF for field use and ranges say less than 100 yards don't forget about looking at a good reddot0 -
RED DOT SOUNDS GOOD ,WHO MAKES A MOUNT FOR THE RUGER 0 -
In My opinion a red dot is much easier to use on a pistol
Scope
#1 Parallax [:(]
#2 limited eye relief to very short range between Min-Max[:(]
#3 Full field of view turns to all black with slight twist of wrist[?]
RED DOT
#1 no parallax [:)]
#2 unlimited eye relief from 4 inches to 4 feet[:)]
#3 Full field of view even if red dot is not centered still on ZERO[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]
Go with the tube type like Ultra Dot that has adjustable dot size Better protection and rain proof. Check with Brownells tech dept for mounts.
