Beretta 1935 WWII

Well, I was at a local gun show today and found it impossible to resist temptation again. I wasn't looking for a Beretta, but stumbled across this one wit bring-back papers. I don't think I've ever seen a green holster like this one, but the gun and extra magazine fit good.

Check out the pictures and tell me what you think. Also, I have no clue what the real value would be. I believe the finish to be original and feel that the pistol is in very good condition.

Thanks for the responses. I did notice a similar pistol on the auction side for about $900. Nothing on the "sold" side though. At least not with papers.

  Holster and "Bring Back" papers are definitely a plus. The holster may be original, years ago I heard that these green leather holsters were made out of rabbit skin, don't know how much truth to it, is though?
  
  The only reservation I have about it though, is the finish. 1944 was the last year that the Italians were in the war. Most of the pistols I have seen from that era have a rough unpolished finish, totally unlike yours. It might have been made up of parts from the stock room though, that were sold commercially to U.S. GI's right at the end of the war. They could care less about the markings or finish, they just wanted a Beretta to take home as a souvenir.

  Love it. The grips are military. The safety actually makes sense once you understand it.

  Well,,,I just traded my 1944 to a friend and it was high polish also and I know it was the real deal,,4UT proofs ect..,but as rufe points out the previous ones I had were mill marked and rough,,holster looks righteous to me,,but I am not an expert,,just had a few in the years...All shot good.
