Winchester Model 12 16 gauge value

Winchester Model 12 16 gauge nickle steel, modified choke. It is used but in good condition. The blue looks somewhat worn, as expected, but not bad. The wood is good with no major flaws. It has not been refinished. Serial number is 152,xxx, which makes it 1917.

What would the value be?

  I have a Winchester Model 12 16 gauge, I believe the barrel is 28 inches if I measured it correctly. The serial # is 1612191. On the barrel it is engraved Winchester Model 12-16 GA - 2 3/4 cham. Winchester proof steel. MOD. Does anyone have an idea as to the value of this gun? It is a nice gun. My grandfather gave it to me about 20 years ago and I have only shot it twice. In it's lifetime it probably hasn't been shot more than a couple of dozen times.

  Serial 152,000 is an April 1916 vintage gun, and it is a Model "1912". Additionally, it was originally made with a 2-9/16" chamber. Has it been modified to chamber and shoot a 2-3/4" shell" (is the chamber length marked anywhere on the gun)?
  
  What is the barrel length?

  It has 2 3/4. And I believe it is a 26 inch barrel.

  OK, so you have an altered Model 1912 16-ga Field grade gun in typical used condition. In most places, it is a $250 gun on a good day.
