Gun Room Clean-up. Linked cartridge?
I have stuff in here I have't seen in 10 years. Uncovered an ammo can with 61 metal linked cartridges. No idea where I got them. The brass isn't shiney and they all seem to be primed but no powder or bullets. They measure: .463", necked to .337", and finally to .250". Overall length is 2.625". They are head stamped "LC89". Anyone know what these might be?
Thanks guys,

Possible- Blank ammo for the M60 machine gun. Scroll down in this link, good pic of an ammo belt of blanks in an M-60. The blanks for the M60 had a lot more powder than for the M14, to ensure operation of the heavier action. LC is Lake City Ammo plant, 1989. http://www.militaryfactory.com/smallarms/detail.asp?smallarms_id=122 0
