Help to identify this cleaning rod/screwdriver

A cleaning rod/screwdriver came in a box marked Smith Wesson .32 New Departure (not the correct box for the gun) and I am trying to identify the manufacturer, year produced and value if any [?] It measures 6 1/8 inches long,has a 1 inch elbow which has a flat head tip (unused) and the slot for using a cleaning patch at the other end. Smith Wesson does not have any info in their book. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried to post a photo but did not have any luck, contact me at Joenei@Juno.com and I will forward a picture. Thanks for any help..
