Savage Model 40 Super Sporter

Hi All,

Does any one know if a Model 23's, 340's / similar savage long gun / bolt action stock can be fitted to a Older model Savage 40 Super Sporter barreled action 300 savage Cal. ? Thanks Rocky

  Agree with Mike...the 340's, 840's and later 110 series all use a barrel nut where-as the 23 and Super Sporters use a one piece reciever/barrel arrangement, and the 23's were done with small caliber in mind, therefore, the aciton is quite a bit smaller than the 40's. The only thing that will fit a 40 is a 40.
