B.E.L.L. 401 Winchester SLR Cases
I have the privilege of owning about 200 .401 winchester brass cases made by BELL. I received these "NEW OLD STOCK" pieces when buying out the reloading equipment from an estate and even have the dies to go with them. Since I have a 1910 winchester in .401 I am very happy to have this stuff. However, I was warned that BELL had some "seconds?" shall we say in the .401 cases. That the primer cup was oversized? This information came from another old time loader. I did find a reciept for the cases from Numrich Arms but there is no date on the reciept. Anyone ever hear of or have problems with cases like this?

You should be able to tell if you case has an over size primer pocket when you seat the new primer. if it more or less falls in then set this case aside. 0 -
What Karl said, if the primer falls in then you have a bad case.
All I have for my model 1910 is 62 Winchester cases, I'm very proud of those.
