New Guy with a Few Questions about Colt 45 1911
Hello, I'm new to this forum but have lurked before here. I was wondering if someone could give me an approximate value of the gun, magazines, pouch and holster. I think I will be placing them on auction soon and looking for what a fair expectation might be as to the value of each item. The white junk on the holster seems to be some kind of protestant that is now falling off. I have not tried to clean the holster.

The pistol was made 1913. and looks to be Refinished by a Home gunsmith Not Military rebuild The grips really don't look military either but an aftermarket replacement set and Magazine is also not military . The barrel bushing for some reason has been replaced with a NM bushing maybe in an attempt to get it to shoot better . I would say the pistol is a $500.00 -$650.00 SHOOTERnot collector grade. magazine $35.00 web gear $20.00 and Holster maybe $50.00 clean the dried wax off with some Ballistol. you can also clean pistol and grips with the same Balistol. YMMV 0 -

1918 or later slide.
1970s replacement barrel.
1960s or later military match bushing.
Repro grips.
Refinished without arsenal stamp.
I won't guess a dollar value but it is not an original or even "correct" gun that I can see.0 -
The guy I bought it from was in a military reenactment club as I remember it. It was enjoyable to shoot. Thanks for the quick replys and wish me luck in my first firearm auction. 0 -

Opinion: I think he did a sterling job in presenting his
firearm. Reasonable starting price/no reserve/excellent
photos/Asking Here First!!!/not committing
himself to unnecessary verbiage in the product description, etc
EDIT after reviewing the auction, you may wish to
use the BIN price in the future as something the bidders have
to work up to. Your BIN was close to, or perhaps a little less
than someone would have been willing to bid on. Place the BIN
higher than what you would expect for the item, and the
starting price a little less than what you would expect
for the same item.
Let the bidders work for your property, dammit!!!
