Springfield 87A

I just picked up one of these at a local pawn shop. It's a very unique looking .22 semi-automatic. Does anybody have information on this rifle? Where can I get a manual? All help is appreciated.

  The 87A can fire .22 short, long and long rifle cartridges with the bolt locked, i.e. single shot. It can only cycle long rifle cartridges in the semi-auto mode, i.e. bolt unlocked. The locking bolt should stay unlocked unless the detente ball is missing from the locking bolt which causes it to partially lock during semi-auto firing.
  Does the bolt close by itself in semi-auto?

  Bingo! There is NO detente ball. Now I'm off to find a new locking bolt,( with detente ball)
