cheap plinking bullets

Anyone have a good site for buying 55fmj bullets. I need about 5K. Thanks.

  If you need 5k, bump it up to 6K and purchase Hornady's 6k pack. Will probably be the cheapest you can find.

  Midsouth Shooters has the Hornady bulk packs and I think Graf's do also. Graf's sell Armscor, too. The Hornady bullets are slightly better quality control than Armscor so will be slightly more accurate. I found the Armscor to vary as much as 1 grain in weight and had noticeable variations in base shape/length. I haven't tried the Montana Gold rifle bullets but I'm pleased with their pistol bullets. The key to economy especially in shipping is volume. Another factor is your powder charge. For just "plinking" you can back off a grain or so. If you drop a 25 grain charge to 24, you save 4%.
