Info on a .45 barrel please
Cleaning out a box of old gun stuff, I came across this 1911 .45 barrel. It is highly polished and the chamber end is nicely jeweled. {engine turned}. On the top it is stamped
"S.A. 45 Auto" . On the lower locking lug {missing the link} is stamped a "J" at 6:00, a "C" at 11:00 , and a "S" at 2:00 position. Is this a replacement Springfield Armory Barrel??? Any info would be useful...thanks

I believe this barrel is out of a Springfield INC. barrel not a military Springfield barrel. I don't keep up with any 1911 Clone type barrels only Match grade aftermarket barrels Like Barsto or Kart. Sorry I can't be of more help. 0
