On the model 1890, 22 short, will the loading port on the tube always be made for the short only? Thanks

  I have A Model 1890 Winchester 22 Long pump. S# 242383 My guess is about 20% Any body have any idea what this might be worth.. i know you really need pictures of it to give A good idea. If someone wants to send me their email address I can send pictures. I don't know how to post pictures on here. Every one says it is easy but have never figured out how. You can PM me with address ??   Yes, I do have a link to finding the history of your January 1901 vintage Model 1890 Second Model rifle. If you click on the weblink that follows my signature line, it will take you to the Cody Firearms Museum.
  
  Contact them, and for a nominal fee, they can provide you with a factory letter that lists all of the information contained in the original Winchester factory warehouse ledger for your rifle's serial number.
