smih&wesson grip id

i have several take off smith and wesson grips i bought from an old gun smith shop.any way to tell the difference from the k,n,j frame grips.the small wooden ones all look the same.any help i would be thankful.kevin

  The easiest way is just to see which guns they fit. K and L use the same grips so some call these K/L.
  
  If you're familiar with the grips (which I guess you're not), you can tell just by looking at them.
  
  K(/L) grips are a good bit larger than J.
  
  N grips are larger than J and have a slightly different shape than K.
